Diploma in Child Health Admission Guidance
Diploma in Child Health is a 3 years full time undergraduate course, the minimum eligibility for which is a Higher Secondary Certificate (10+2) qualification from any recognized university. The program is spread over 6 semesters, with the final semester based on the candidate’s chosen stream of study.
The duration of Postgraduate Diploma in Child Health is a 1 year or 2 year full time Postgraduate course depends upon specific institute, the minimum eligibility for which is MBBS degree from any recognized university. The program is spread over 2 or 4 semesters.
Admission Guidance to the Undergraduate course is based on the candidate’s performance in a relevant entrance test, Admission guidance Guidance based on 12th marks and subsequent round of counselling. Admission Guidance to the Postgraduate course is based on the marks obtained in MBBS Degree and subsequent round of counselling.
Diploma in Child Health: What is it about?
The program has been designed to offer to eligible candidates specialization in a wide range of health, wellness and illness. It offers students an understanding of health from biological, behavioural and population-based perspectives, through the integration of foundation and applied sciences.
Successful graduates & Postgraduates of the course interested in pursuing further studies in the discipline may go for pursuing Member of Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPH), they can do their private practice diligently, Secondary DNB, fellowship from IAP & private hospitals.
The program aims to build medical specialists with knowledge, skill and aptitude in the field of Paediatrics. They shall be aware of one’s professional limitation of medical practice and be able to refer to appropriate centres/specialist when required.
One of the principle objectives of the course is to prepare students for specialists along with clinical skills for which they need to have good knowledge in community paediatrics, preventive paediatrics and public health.
