Mds Public Health Dentistry Admission Guidance

Master of Dental Surgery with specialization in Public Health Dentistry is a 3-year Post Graduation course which is further divided into 4 semesters. The course provides its students with the knowledge of oral health care, dental diseases, their prevention and their cures. MDS in Public Health Dentistry is considered to be a good option after BDS as it contributes to the increase of jobs in various employment areas such as Defence Services, Hospital Administrative Jobs, Academic Teaching Jobs, etc.

The eligibility criteria for MDS in Public Health Dentistry is both merit based and entrance examination based, i.e., the applicant is required to have completed BDS in any specialization programme from a recognized University.
The candidate must have scored a minimum aggregate of 55% marks or 5.5 CGPA out of 10.
Some of the institutes conduct entrance examinations themselves or give importance to the entrance tests conducted by other testing agencies, e.g., NEET, NIMSEE PG, etc.
