FCPS In Child Health Admission Guidance
The CPS has played an important role in training its Fellows in Research Methodology dissertation writing and computer orientation for both trainers and trainee through workshops. Up to March 2003 about 5519 MCPS and 5194 FCPS have graduated from this College. To ensure examination process in compare with international recognition, college invites examiners Royal Colleges of England, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, Middle East, Nepal, Singapore, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Kuwait. Joint Committee of Higher Medical training of England, which represents UK’s all Royal Colleges has recognised the Fellowship of CPS at par with its MCPS.
The US Boards of Internal Medicine, FRC Canada for the purpose of entry on the specialists register maintained by the General Medical Council, UK.
The Fcps in Child Health Specialities also recognises FCPS of the College at par with MRCP and FRCS awarded by Royal Colleges of UK. Besides, the colleges in collaboration with WHO has launched an awareness programme on reproductive health issues and to develop a curricula for postgraduate and undergraduate medical education and development of learning material for the trainers.
The Department of Medical Education of the College through a series of workshops has trained over 12,000 teachers to update them with new methodologies. In 1996, this department was redesigned as “WHO Collaborating Centre for Research and Training in Educational Development of Health Personnel.”
